OMG Dana you've got a winner with this book. It made me smile through the whole thing. I lost my teacup poodle a few years ago. He also was quite a character. I haven't been able too get another friend. After reading about Jasper I realize I just might be ready, thank you.
I bought this book for ME, because I am a huge Jasper fan. It's a good think he lives on the other side of the earth, because I'd smother him with kisses if I ever had the chance. I love Dana as well, but Jasper....well Jasper is America's Dog and I just can't get enough of him.
This is a very enjoyable book so far, with some very funny stuff about how Dana's husband got arrested for walking a dog off a leash in Central Park. The book is full of love, and photos. This would be a nice book for any dog lover. I may buy a few more copies for my dog friends for Christmas. Someone tell Dana to put out another Calendar with Jasper. I'd buy one! Jasper is a very special dog.
What a book. Tells the story of Jasper but also teaches children and adults how to "love" their dogs through Dana Perino's experience. If only we lived in a world that everyone could respect the animals given to us, bought by us, etc... What a beautiful world it would be! I will be giving this purchase of two books to my granddaughters - they love their fur babies - and this will teach them a little more ) ! Thank you for pubblishing, selling, and sharing this book, to Dana Perino, her publisher, ! This Nina (Grandma) is a happy purchaser and dog lover!
Loved this light hearted book about Jasper and also Henry, her first dog with her husband, Peter. If you read her first book "And The Good News Is" you'll see that this book is a more indepth version of one of the chapters from that book. This book is full of laughs and also a few tears. This book is not a political book by any means and she isn't trying to make it be. Whether you agree with her politics or not, you can't help but fall for her dog, Jasper, and the pride she has towards him. He is a very special dog to her and others and I am glad she has let people enjoy him through this book and her social media. If you are looking for a feel good book that happens to be about the love of an animal then I recommend this book. Thank you, Dana for giving us this book to read and also allowing us a glimpse into yours and Jasper's lives.
Hard to put down!!! It was nice to get into the head of a true dog lover. Of course, Dana made Jasper seem human...and with great results. I loved all the pics, but the one where Jasper is holding up his bandaged paw looking for sympathy is my absolute favorite!!! Great job, Dana!!! How about a sequel???
I loved the book about all the canines that were part of Dana's Life. Clearly she is one with her dogs and recognizes that dogs are our best example of how to treat one another. Dana is a great example to lead the humane treatment of dogs. A very important and powerful message that deserves political attention!
This is a great book. You will laugh and cry with this book. I love that it is not told just from Dana's perspective but also her husband's too. And I like knowing I am not the only one that repurposes songs to fit my dogs. This is a great book to give you a break from all the political stress going on around you and just relax. This is the perfect October surprise.
